I just got back from taking the NCSF certification exam…and I passed, as you probably already figured out from my title
I’m exhausted, been working hard at City Fitness. I’m going to take a nap, and should be writing regularly now.
Yay!

Awesome! Congrats!
Congratulations. I guess you might have to change the name of your blog now…ha…now NCSF claims your a fitness junkie too. Out of curiosity, which certification did you get and do you plan to get any more? Again congrats, and keep up the good work.

Thanks McBloggenstein!
And thank you Chris! I just got NCSF-CPT, and I plan on getting one from NSCA next. That may be it, since I want to focus on the business side of fitness in a few years rather than being a great trainer (although I do want that
)
NCSF exam help needed
Hi Jay, congrats on your success on passing the exam. I’m planning on taking it. I took the course offered at a local college and I thought it was a waste of alot of money and time. I think I could have just passed it by studying the material.. which leads me to my question. Do you suggest that I purchase any other material other than the text book and the study guide booklet? I see that there are index cards and exams on sale. Should I even bother? I hope to hear from you soon so that I can write a blog with your same title!! =)
Hi,
Which is the best license to get?
Thanks for reading Jessica. I just took the workshop and studied the reference guide from the workshop and the material from the textbook and the workbook. That’s really it! Send me your email address and we can talk more about the exam and any other questions (jlyoung23@gmail.com)
Carlos, you should get a certification that’s accredited by the NCCA and one that is widely recognized. If you go to http://www.starting-a-personal-training-business.com/accredited-personal-training-certification.html,
you can see a chart comparing all the NCCA-accredited certifying agencies. Your goals in personal training should also help you decide which certification to get.
Congratulations on getting certified through NCSF! I’m sure you were excited. I’m currently doing the home study course through the NCSF. I’m at about the middle of the book (chapter 11), and wanted to ask for any tips regarding studying for the test, which I must admit I nervous. Any input would be great.
thanks in advance!
